We stay in Amarillo often and this was our best Vrbo yet. Beds were comfy and we appreciated the attention to detail. Such as the lights in the back yard that could be easily put on a timer. Made us feel more at ease. Kitchen also had everything we needed for a longer stay.

It is too bad our introduction to this property was being locked out. Despite my text the night before alerting the host/ manager to our arrival the next day, the key pad on the house was not programed to my entry code. Arriving about 6 PM, my husband and I had been on the road for nine hours, both of us needed to use the bathroom, and we could not get in. We tried all kinds of variations on the keypad, to no avail. Since I booked on Expedia, but the property is managed by VRBO, it was not a straight forward process to go back and retrieve the hosts’ contact information. After 45 minutes, jumping through online puzzles to establish I was not a BOT, I got to the listing page and retrieved the phone number. (A lesson for future bookings: document this separately.) At this point, the host set the key pad to my code and I was able to get in. However, the host neglected to tell me I needed to hit an icon after I punched in my code (this was not mentioned in her original text, either). It was only after several questions that she mentioned an icon as the last input in the entry sequence. Her attitude about her neglect was it was no big deal, and I was being unreasonable for being upset. She never apologized for any inconvenience.
Situated in a well-tended middle-class neighborhood of Amarillo, across from a large park, the property is cute, very clean, and very well presented. It is apparent a lot of care went into this effort. The air conditioning was on, there were ceiling fan
