About this house rental
Not recommended for party group , more suitable for families with children and low-key adult group -Please come and create beautiful memories at our newly renovated, one-of-a-kind Russian river retreat . We offer, quiet, privacy and serenity. The pool is not heated and only functional during late spring throughout summer and fall. It is only 4 1/2 feet deep so it warms up quite nicely! We are centrally located in the heart of the Russian River Wine appellation. With myriad of winery's located all along our beautiful backroads of Sonoma County. The town of Guerneville and the banks of the Russian River is 1.3 miles from the vacation rental. Armstrong Woods Redwood sanctuary is just down the road. The beautiful Pacific coast hwy is 20 minutes west.
There are expansive windows throughout the house with floor to ceiling windows allowing you to experience the beauty of the outdoors while sitting in the comfort of the living room. The backyard has a pool, hot tub and bbq plus a 1200 square foot deck which borders fife creek , there is also a large beautiful garden to enjoy. There are 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a studio apartment that has a full kitchen. The studio has a couch and table for comfortable for dining . There is a pull out bed that can fit two adults or you can use the area for kids to sleep in. The studio does not have a private door at the moment however right next to the studio is a separate bedroom with a Queen size bed. In the main part of the house downstairs, there are two bedrooms with king size beds, a living room and dining room off the kitchen. The home also has a washer and dryer. The main part of the house sleeps 4 people while the upstairs has one bedroom and a studio bedroom(with bedroom, kitchenette) that can accommodate 1-2 adults or perfect area for children.
Whatever you enjoy doing ..we have it: From hot air ballooning to Wine tasting, taking hikes in the redwoods, kayaking on the Russian River, Ocean kayaking in Jenner, hanging at the beach or driving up the coastal highway to experience world class views, fine Michelin star dining, unique gift shopping from Duncan Mills to Healdsburg and Sebastopol. We even have zip lining. Our backroads feature hundreds of wineries from the Russian Rive appellation, Dry Creek appellation and if you want to venture over to Calistoga, St Helena, to the Carneros Valley appellation just to name a few. We have everything you can think of within a 10 to 20 min drive to make this the best vacation ever!

My family and I traveled to Guerneville for my Nieces’s wedding and spent a couple of months trying to find a place to stay that met all of our needs. Wow!! This home was simply fantastic! Not only is it in a beautiful setting but the house was perfect. The host seems to have thought about any and all needs her guests may have. The kitchen is completely stocked with a plethora of utensils, cups and plates so we didn’t need to continually wash. The backyard is even better in person than in the pictures!! There are pool floats and noodles… even water proof diapers!! We didn’t need those but thought that was so cool. I can’t forget to mention the beds. After the first night we were all having coffee and could not stop talking about how comfortable the beds were! Seriously better than hotel beds. We all left wanting to know what the brand was so we could look into purchasing them at home!! She responded to all my questions promptly. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room to spend quality time together and have quiet time. There is a Safeway close by as well as cute little restaurants and bars. Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve is close by and a must see. The only thing we would had changed was the amount of time we stayed there. We definitely could had used another day or two. 11/10. No notes

The house is lovely and spotlessly clean. Backyard is spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect for daily excursions to the coast or Napa, and the redwoods preserve is easily walking distance. Downtown less than a mile away has restaurants and a supermarket as well as Johnson’s beach on the Russian River. Shauna was responsive and friendly. 4 stars instead of 5 on representation of property because the firepit didn’t work and the hot tub had just a few working jets and was a little cloudy with debris on the bottom.

The stay was not as expected. The pictures on the site are outdated - the house is a different color, the bedrooms have different furniture than the photos. We went in the fall and the backyard was a mess - leaves everywhere including in the pool, the furniture was scattered all over the place. Communication with property manager was slow and at one point unresponsive. No check in or check out instructions were provided without me having to reach out. When we first arrived, we found a few dead bugs on the floor. On the plus side, the house is in good proximity to a lot of amazing things - river, ocean, Sebastopol and Healdsburg. Overall we had a fine stay but was a disappointment with the booking.
