This is a historic huge home that was a model home when NASA opened up in 1962. Newly recruited Astronauts walked these halls. It has been recently elevated 14 feet & upgraded to all the modern conventences to Manion Status with over 6600 sf / 5500 sf with 5 bedrooms and 3 baths in main private lodge. The garage apartment (Where the hosts and caregivers live in separate quarters) and old 2 car garage make up the rest of the square footage.
Great place to relax, to entertain, to fish, to crab, to shrimp, to boat, to stargaze, to play pool, throw darts or foosball, to cook, fry, boil, grill or smoke. We have it all at the Lazy Lake Lodge. We have the most amenities than any other STR around.
We have the best view of the water canal view to across the lake to League City. The whole backyard is lit up year round with blue rope lights on all trees, pilings and fences along with solar lites on 3 story staircases. It is gorgeous and beautiful. Nothing else compares.
Outside fun consists of a foot pool lilly pads, hot tub, picnic table. covered horseshoes under elevated home,beer pong, washers , darts, 6 sun lounge chairs, and 3 golf club bags full, 10 colorful Swings, 8 colored rockers, and 12 colored Adirondack chairs, 3 fire pits, electric & gas smoker, charcoal grill, gas boiler.
There is plenty of parking behind a 24 foot steel security gate on 1/2 acre to park trucks, trailers and RVs. If you do not want to get your stuff stolen then book with us. The Nassau Bay police patrols around the clock in front of our Lodge. It is super safe and secure along with tree line privacy. No neighbors will complain about parking in front of their hones or businesses.
There are chill spots everywhere outside- fishing bank, boat dock, boat house with swings, chiminea, under the house court yard, 4 deck patios and more. We are STR permitted through the city with yearly fire and building inspections. We have all the safety equipment equipment- fire extinguishers, co2 monitors, smoke detectors, 3rd story escape ladders, ozone machines, and numerous maps of escape, flood and hurricane maps.
Inside the large Lodge are 5-65 inch Smart TV, mesh wifi wireless internet, top of the line Massage Chair, pool table, foosball and darts. Small office, L Shape Stone Bar with 10 Adjustable Stools and Full Kitchen & Large Fridge with ice maker & freezer, place sets for over 24 guests, great for small events, reunions, travelling sales team.
You will never run out of thing to do here whether outside patio in front with 5 chairs and 29 rockers andout door darts, washers and covered horseshoes.
Captain & Santa Eric and Licenced Massage Therpist wife Mary live on the property in separate quarters & work 7 days a week or out of town.
Special large events with 30 or more during the day are extra and must be coordinated and approved by hosts. Fishing and sight seeing boat trips are extra along with jet ski and boat rentals.
You can catch free bait shrimp, shad & finger mullet and fish for Gar, Flounder, Redfish, Trout and Blue Channel Cats with or without night time fishing lights over 7 furnished fishing poles, cast nets, over 7 crab traps, live fish wells, bait buckets and holders. If you like to go out in 2 different kayaks or paddle boards with furnished life vests , it is available at no charge.
There are numerous creative spaces and gardens that need attending daily by staff. There are 13 palms, 2 tall pine trees, 2 black willow trees, 7 citrus trees, vegetables bucket and in grown garden, real grape vines and several varieties of cactus and other plants on the property and decks.
