You can also visit Thousand Trails where you have access to Pine Cone Cafe or buy a day pass to enjoy all of their amenities. Nearby, at the intersection of Hwy 243 and Pine Cove Drive is The Pine Cove Store, gas station and laundromat.
Other Things to Note:
- Cleaning: The safety of our guests is our utmost priority. Our cleaning team is following strict CDC guidelines on sanitizing and disinfecting between stays so you can rest assured you will have a clean, worry-free stay.
- Please note that the staircase to the loft is steep and has a railing on only one side.
- Civilized, well-mannered (and pampered) pups are welcome at the Lazy A-Frame. Keep in mind that we are nestled in the forest among other furry (less tame) creatures. All furry friends must be leashed at all times (no exceptions) and picked up after to keep the wild animals off our property. We allow a maximum of TWO well-mannered dogs for an additional pet fee.
- Please note that we have a security Nest door camera next to the front door.
-Access to the cabin is from a private dirt road (not maintained by the city). During winter months it is advised to park legally on the main street and walk to the cabin.
- Don't forget you are in stargazing territory. We recommend downloading an app, sitting in the hot tub or on the back deck at night, and enjoying the constellations.

The Lazy A Frame is true to its word. Just sit back on the deck overlooking the trees and read your favorite book or listen to your tunes. The place is very relaxing, easy to fall asleep in the comfortable beds. After a long day of hiking, the hot tub is perfect way to unwind. This is a perfect place to get away from it all and enjoy "Mother Nature"

Solid experience. The view from the back deck took my breath away! I had a solo retreat in the Lazy A and it was a great space for that. Peaceful place at the end of a street and set up with everything you would need. I especially appreciated the book collection. Checking out the stars from the hot tub was incredible too. Lots of great bird-watching as well!The only drawbacks during my stay was some construction noise from a house across the way. It was so quiet and peaceful so sound of lumber and drills amongst the trees was unfortunate. I also had some cleanliness issues. I basically had to re-wash every dish, utensil and cooking tool I pulled out of the drawers because they were sticky or still had food residue on them. Under the beds were pretty gross too, like they forgot to vacuum under there many times.All in all, I loved the location and enjoyed my stay.

Thank you for hosting us. We had a great time in the area. Things that could use improvement was 1) fridge did not work (we had brought food to cook and had to use the freezer instead to prevent spoilage) and 2) cleanliness (for example, we were greeted by a decaying moth on the table, kitchen drawers were messy). I did send an email regarding the fridge during our stay, but did not get any response. Just FYI for future visitors during the summer, the AC takes a couple hours to cool the place and keep your food away because there are ants. Cabin is not as nice as the pictures to be honest. Hot tub, balcony, and stars were amazing, however. Thank you for being dog friendly too! :)
