We were a little surprised when we arrived at Junjungan, as the property isn't actually one villa, but three separate suites, all on one private site. There are two double rooms in one suite, the same in another and then another single suite. All have adjoining bathrooms. The kitchen facilities are external and are those used by the staff to prepare meals but are available for guests to use if they wish to do so.
The property quickly grows on you, set in beautiful grounds, overlooking working rice paddies. There is a complimentary breakfast and snacks, meals or drinks are pretty much available all day should you need them. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The pool area is ample size and very pleasant.
Ubud is about a 15 minute taxi ride away, and at present costs around £5-£8 dependant on time of day.
