About this house rental
Palm Beach Lodge was built around 1991, originally as a conference venue with guest accommodation. It is a complex of three spacious, comfortable Mediterranean style apartments, occupying four different levels of the Lodge. One is a 4 bedroom apartment and two are a 2 bedroom apartments. The building is situated on the hillside in the center of beautiful Palm Beach on the warm northern coastline, and there are ‘dress circle’ views from just about every single room in the entire building!
Little Barrier Island is visible on the horizon, the islands of the ‘Noises’ and ‘Tiri Tiri Matangi’ are to the left, Nani Island to the right and in the foreground Palm Beach is invitingly close with the sound of the sea ever present.
The zig-zag path winds down through the lush, sub-tropical garden to the road below and then the sandy beach – an all-tide, safe swimming beach. The walk to the water’s edge takes about three minutes in all.
During off season we offer three nights for the price of two from 1st May until 30th September. We also offer 7 nights for the price of 5 during the period 1st May to 30th September.

Beautiful spot - what a view!!! Short walk down to the beach and a cafe. Great communication with the host. Totally recommend.

Wonderful situation. Cleanliness level not the highest eg dead insects behind pulled blinds, grime on arms of cane furniture. Oven failed. Screens needed for some windows for mosquitoes were a serious problem. One bedroom door would not shut so had to be locked. See attachment which have gone to the host

The setting is spectacular and could be wonderful. But the property is very badly in need of renovation and care: Broken/ missing door handles, overflowing and smelly septic tank, blood on the sheets, missing keys, flooding washer, bathroom tap that didn’t work, blind fell down due to improper fitting. Richard and Sharonagh were responsive to our complaints—I think they may just be overwhelmed by all the repairs that should be done.
