The apartment is on the 7th and top floor of the Vivian Residence with an exceptional location. The penthouse has 3 terraces, one on the front towards the lake, one on the side and one on the back where you can enjoy a view of the city of locarno. In addition to this, it enjoys a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore up to the entire Magadino plain.

The apartment is directly on the lake and in a central position. If you want to go to Ascona / Losone / Tenero it is also well reachable by bus, the stop is only 2 minutes away on foot.
The best way to get around in Locarno is by walking as everything can be reached in a few minutes.

Where to start? Esmeralda was very accommodating and efficient. We were always able to communicate with her. The apartment was fabulous. Exceptionally clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Loved the mountain, lake and hillside views! It was very close to town, walked it everyday. We were sad the morning we left. Also blessed with beautiful weather! Couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant stay.

We stayed in 703A, a 3 bedroom penthouse apartment on the 7th floor of a modern block overlooking the lake.The property is massive and has three outdoor terraces. Three bathrooms, all absolutely spotless and pristine. Huge kitchen with eye level double oven, central island, wine fridge etc and all opening on to the open plan dining area and lounge with access on to the main terrace. Massive 60 inch TV great for watching the Euros 2024 matches every night. Superb 5 star quality overall. It is simply stunning. If there is a downside, some would consider the road noise obtrusive, but all of the properties fronting the lake are in a similar situation and the soundproofing and glazing are very high quality. I slept soundly each night and would thoroughly recommend.

We loved staying at Residenza Vivian for the second time in three years. It is ideally situated with the perfect view of lago Maggiore and closeness to Piazza Grande and the shopping area.
The only suggestions we would like to make:
The pillows were too small and no extra ones in the apartment.
The area of the washer/dryer was messy due to the pigeons starting nests. Our suggestions would be a curtain (beads etc) to block the area off for the birds.

Location overlooking the lake could not be better. Close to Trains/busses and Ferries. Well kept property - would definitely come back. As with all Swiss Rentals there is a Tourist Tax per night of stay which was not mentioned in the listing. Just be prepared to pay it.
