Tucked in the trees and walking distance to Lake Almanor, the Stellar J cabin offers a quiet and snowy respite in the winter and a fun and easy lake getaway in the summer. Updated and modern furniture throughout. Well-appointed kitchen with big dining table for family dinners. Outdoor eating areas. Ping-pong table, basketball hoop, two-person sit-on-top kayak, and more. Dedicated workspace with monitors, speakers, keyboard, mouse for attaching a laptop (no computer here). 10 minutes from well-stocked Chester grocery store.

The rooms are all comfortable and air conditioned. The kitchen was well stocked. The garage had a great ping pong table, floaties for the lake. The hot tub is clean. The common living space didn’t seem to have air conditioning and became quite uncomfortable in the late afternoons/evenings. We would have appreciated some better instructions for working the house - how to turn on fans, that the unit in the living room was a heater only, description of the HOA boat launch access, how to access the lake etc. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

We loved this property! Elizabeth was a fabulous host and responded to our questions very quickly. If you are traveling with kids, this is the place to stay! Tons of things to keep the kids busy, ping pong, basketball hoop, lots of water toys and floats. The neighborhood is super calm and quiet. We brought scooters and the kids rode around all week with no issues, everyone drives super slow and it felt really safe. The house is fully equipped with everything you might need to cook and enjoy family time. The hot tub was a perfect way to end a long day of exploring the area. Our only (minimal) disappointment was not being able to use the outdoor fire pit in the back yard. BUT, we completely understand that it was off limits due to neighborhood restrictions as a result of recent fires in the area. Elizabeth has provided a gas fire pit on the back deck and combined with the party lights it still made for the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail and “time around the fire” with the kids. All in all, this is a great property and I would recommend it to any and all of my friends and family to come stay when in the Lake Almanor area!

everything was nice but a lot of people in.my group have disabilities and the couches and chairs were really low would suggest some higher chairs or possibly recliner
