Why this property ? When looking for property to purchase, we immediately fell in love with the grounds and the comfortable feel of the property. Ava Haus represented the authentic heritage of what has been so lovingly preserved in the city of Fredericksburg. Also; the location is perfect!
It is away from the center of town, yet close enough to be in downtown in less than 3 minutes. Unique Ava Haus allows guests to enjoy the benefits of the country and still be minutes from wineries, shopping, restaurants and the natural parks of the area. Guests can have a true feel for the history of the region when they stay in an authentic German homestead complete with the original well, thick limestone walls and even the original root cellar where the pioneers stayed during times of danger. At Ava Haus, we welcome your entire family to include children and pets. Extra fee for pet.
Each guesthouse has a TV with satellite, WI-FI internet, refrigerator always stocked with yogurt, juice, and water. The kitchenette provides coffee, tea, and a selection of snacks. Microwave per guesthouse. Guests are free to enjoy board games, BBQ grills, and explore the ample grounds.

This was our second time to stay here. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. Love the thoughtful snacks, coffee, tea, and juice provided. I would definitely recommend.

Fredericksburg is a great couples spot to come and visit. I was so happy that we found this charming place. We loved the old feel of the décor and we all loved the VHS movie collection. We enjoyed the living area to hang out and front porch for the morning sun. The place was close to the main street shops and wineries. It didn't seem too loud from any of the street noise. Overall, it was a nice time and the owner lived on the property and was very nice.
