Enjoy this fabulous coastal home, just steps away from the golden shores of Carmel Beach. Located at the foot of Ocean Avenue, this exclusive rental offers spectacular views, direct access to the dog-friendly beach, which includes a private hot tub and grill in the secluded backyard.
Exposed beams of vaulted ceilings soar above the Great Room, featuring warm terracotta tiles and book-filled shelves. Settle in with a good book on the comfy sofa or rocking chair, and enjoy the wood-burning fireplace or watch your favorite movie on the 52-inch TV. The second living area, with French doors leading to the inviting back garden, has a queen-size pullout sofa and a full bathroom that can double as a comfortable bedroom.
The upstairs primary suite includes a gas fireplace and a large deck with 180-degree ocean and sunset views -- the perfect spot to watch the surf over evening drinks. There are two downstairs bedrooms: one that's a secluded, quiet space to rest, and the other provides a sunny space with French doors leading to the lovely front garden courtyard.
An open kitchen comes with plenty of cookware and a full suite of stainless steel appliances (including a gas Wolf Range). Chat over morning coffee at the four-person breakfast bar or share a meal in the dining area that seats 10+.
You're half a mile from restaurants, art galleries, and tasting rooms in the heart of Carmel-By-The-Sea. Golf lovers are in for a treat! The stunning Pebble Beach Golf Course is 1.5 miles from your door. Just over 4 miles away is Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, offering a breathtaking stretch of coastline for hiking and watching the local sea life.

This sweet home is located 10 steps away from Carmel beach. With its two prime driveway parking spaces, you are all set for your vacation as the adjacent beach parking lot gets crazy packed on a summer weekend. You are also a short distance from downtown; we appreciate the pet policy and took our pups to the down to the beach and up for coffee every morning. It was idyllic.
Full disclosure, although very clean inside, the house itself is aging and could use some updating and repairs (lights broken, loose tiles in bathroom, hot tub needs refinishing, unkept back yard, etc.). Most of the home’s windows do not open, so it’s hard to get a cross breeze in the house on a hot day, which we had several of. There is no A/C or fans.
However, this did not deter us from having a wonderful time!
Would have given 5 stars if not for these issues and the extremely high price I paid for peak season.

We loved being so close to Carmel Beach. Some details and maintenance to the house were surprisingly unattended.
