Welcome to Moonbeam Mountain, a private desert home tucked into the surrounding mountains and boulders. Just minutes from the Joshua Tree National Park entrance, this property is truly one-of-kind. With three separate homes - The Lunar House, The Stardust and The Orb, its the perfect property for multi-generational travel, friends looking to gather with privacy or an intimate retreat looking for the peace that only Joshua Tree can provide.

We do not charge a security deposit. We welcome you and your guests to come to the property without an added security deposit or any extra holds of funds. You will not have to worry about any additional charges for accidental damages!

• RENTAL AGREEMENT
There will be a rental agreement sent out that will need a signature to complete the reservation
• DECK
There is an outside deck that hangs over a small pond. There is no railing around the deck and it hangs right over the pond of water.
• OUTSIDE MUSIC
Any and all amplified outside music is not allowed per the county code. We do not supply any speakers and we do not allow any speakers at the property.
• CAMERA
Outdoor forward facing recording camera for safety and security. Never inside of the home.
The property has a security camera or recording device capable of recording or sending video, audio, or still images. We require hosts to inform guests of any such camera or device located in a common area—even if it will be turned off during a guest's stay. We prohibit security cameras or recording devices in private spaces like bedrooms, bathrooms, or sleeping areas.
• PETS
Dogs can be allowed for a one time $60 per dog fee (max 2).

GPS should bring you easily to the property
• ROAD TO THE HOUSE
The road to the house is on about 1 mile of dirt road. An SUV will not be needed as they are maintained dirt roads but they can be a little bumpy.
• A/C & Heater
The house is cooled and heated by central heating and air conditioning through the house and a mini split in the large bedroom with two beds to keep you comfortable all year long.
• FIRE
Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no open flames fire policy BUT the propane fire pit located outside if allowed.
If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, in a fire pit, using fireworks or other open fire (propane excluded when used IN the propane firepit and propane grill provided) means your rental agreement will be terminated and there is a $200 fine.
• HOT TUB - legal
Guest agrees to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Host and Host's employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities or causes of action of any kind that guest, members of guest's household or guest's guests or invitees may have at any time against Host or Host's agents resulting from guest's use of the pool.
• GUESTS
You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us. That includes day guests and over night guests.
By renting this property, guest acknowledges that they have read, understand and accept the terms listed above.

We all enjoyed the stay. Hiking around the property, soaking in hot tub, having meals outside. Unfortunately fire pit was not working, we would have enjoyed staying outside longer into the night. Would suggest clearer off road directions to the property. Overall a beautiful location & a great time by all. Would love to come back sometime.

What an awesome “compound” nestled against gorgeous Joshua Tree rocks and surrounded by outstanding landscaping. We had two couples and one single adult and enjoyed being able to spread out or come together as we chose. The kitchen was beautiful and generously stocked with dishes, silverware, pots & pans and glasses. The main house, guest house (casitas) and separate room were all decorated nicely and with style. The property has a small pond in the back with an outdoor dining area above it, and we enjoyed watching the wildlife from the backyard areas. Only negatives were the directions and lack of street signage. Need to be more explicit about not using any map apps for the last part of the journey AND EXPLAIN WHY. The various map apps will take you to a locked gate down a very narrow dirt road that you have to back down from. There is an another very narrow dirt road that you have to turn left on (Larkspur Lane) from Rincon Road that has no sign. Maybe give exact mileage from where you turn off of Quail Springs Road to Rincon Road. From Rincon Road to Larkspur Lane (which has no sign) and from Larkspur Lane to Wagon Wheel Road, etc.

Lovely home with 3 separate (but attached) units, making it an ideal location for multi generational families of 3 - 4 couples. The location is a bit remote but a close drive to the park gate or into Joshua Tree town. Ate great meals at Crossroads Cafe and Sky High Pie and went on some amazing hikes in the park. Would definitely recommend the home - a few more towels/linens would be great especially if you are a large group. Note no washer/dryer and clothes get dirty and dusty when hiking so bring multiples.
