Glenda met us in the street and welcomed us to her beautiful apartment. The location is perfect and the apartment is pristine. We were very comfortable with the two bedrooms two baths and two balconies. The kitchen and living area were also conducive to meals and making memories. Glenda provided welcome drinks and snacks which were so appreciated after a long day of travel. There were so many details that made this VRBO extra special.

Glenda’s apartment and hospitality were amazing. The apartment was spacious, very clean and well stocked. Glenda has thought of absolutely everything. Spend some time at this beautiful place in this beautiful town. You won’t be disappointed!

We went to La Spezia six years ago, and Glenda and her family treated us so well that for our anniversary we returned “home” to La Spezia. The apartment is so nice and clean, and Glenda provides it with everything you need for a cozy vacation. The whole community is welcoming, and Glenda helped so much with advice for restaurants and activities. This time we rented a car and parked it in Piazza Europa. That was great as we drove to many other small towns and cities such as Portovenere, Parma, Modena, and Bologna. We also took the train on other days to Pietrasanta, Pisa, and Cinque Terre. Our favorite was Pietrasanta (Glenda’s suggestion), and you have to walk a little out of your way there and eat at La Mariposa Gastronomia! Our best activity, however, was just sitting on the balcony at the apartment and eating cheese and wine while looking out at La Spezia and seeing the people going about their everyday lives! We plan on returning next year. It’s more than a vacation! It’s a homecoming!

All I can say about the place is - WOW! It is very clean, located in the middle of the city and only 10 minutes from the train station - easy to get to any other city around.
The owner, Glenda, and her mother are the best hosts I have ever encountered. They picked us up from the train station to drive us to the apartment. When we arrived, Glenda walked us through everything, how to get to places and recommendations of restaurants and things to do. She also provided food and drink (including two bottles of wine) to help get us started. When our time was done, she and her mon also drove us to the rental car company so we didn't have to get a taxi or drag our luggage 2 miles. Absolutely amazing!
One note: The apartment is very spacious, but located in the middle of town. It can get a little loud at night outside the windows on a Saturday night. Not a huge issue - just more of an FYI.
So much to see and do in the area, I wish we had been able to spend a few more nights
$$$$
