I will get negatives out of the way first, the listing says this is a working dairy farm however there is just a few cows and one pig. The grandchildren were looking forward to learning and watching milking etc but there was no opportunity to do this. Also we were told we could use the hot tub and pool when the weather improved however both were not ready for use in the 2 weeks we were there. Having said this the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. The owners greeted us on arrival and although there was a language barrier, they tried extremely hard to communicate and also gave us some beer from their own onsite brewery. The gite was spacious, had everything we needed for our family party of 8. It was one of the cleanest properties we have rented. The location was quiet and just 10 mins drive to local super U and bakeries. I would recommend hiring but maybe preparing the hot tub and pool ready for arrivals would be good.

We loved the spacious layout and character of the property. It offered privacy and lovely gathering space too. Inviting patio and nice space upstairs indoors for children to play. Great size bedrooms. Owners were welcoming and helpful. The location was lovely, surrounded by fields and quiet lanes, perfect for cycling.
Village of Fauville was less than 10 mins away with supermarkets, yummy bakeries and eateries recommended by Karin. Convenient for visiting Fecamp, Etretat, Rouen and gorgeous Seine side towns. We hope to return.
