About this villa rental
This newly built Villa (constructed in 2011) is a perfect example of the functioning symbiosis between the laid-back Mediterranean flair and history, and modern perfectionism. Villa Ancora is situated in the most noble and green district of Dubrovnik- Lapad. It lies in a calm neighborhood, far away from all the street traffic and hassle, and although it is protected by the trees of a surrounding forest, it offers an incredible view over the Gruž Harbor, and the monumental Franjo Tudman Bridge. The Villa lies in the heart of Dubrovnik- the closest sand beach and shopping center are only 5 minutes walking distance away. A walk to the Old Town only takes 20 minutes, or 10 minutes by bus.

From the booking to the farewells, our experience with Villa Ancora was truly perfect. The villa is situated in its own garden paradise. Lovely, private, but it is within easy distance to beaches, public transportation, the local promenade. Our large family gathering was easily accommodated and all agreed it was a perfect choice. The view from the villa is spectacular from dawn to evening. The hosts are more than hosts, they quickly feel like old friends. A must stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights and very much enjoyed our trip. It was everything we needed and more. The pool area was a huge plus, even though we were out and about for most of the time it was nice to have a morning coffee out there and a late afternoon/late evening swim. We don’t cook or use the kitchen other than to make coffee/tea but it seemed to be well stocked with what one might need to cook.
The owner was extremely accommodating and helpful both before our arrival and during our stay.
As other reviews state there are a lot of stairs to get to the villa but the owner is very helpful with luggage during check in and we don’t even utilize his help (which was offered) for check out as we didn’t find it to be a big deal. And I note we are 5 adults with 5 massive suitcases maxed out to the 50lb limit.
The villa has great views, which means it is high on the hill, so there are also stairs involved in walking down to the port, or one could walk the less direct route along the street. We liked the stairs as they took us right to our back door, however maybe this location as a whole isn’t the best choice for much older travelers.
Thank you very much for a wonderful stay in Dubrovnik! We would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and modern apartments within the house. Great extras such as a pool table and pool. There is lots of space for multiple people in each individual units...each unit has bathrooms and bedrooms and some with small kitchen which is great for separating. But the backyard is small; the pool takes up most of the space. The location is in a very small town across the water from Trogir, a fun small city with quaint shops, restaurants and bars. The home is up a steep hill and about 45 minutes drive time from Split. We had a great time and hope to be back!
