About this cottage rental
In Berry, 5 minutes from the George Sand Estate and 10 minutes from La Châtre, a stone house with a garden (300 m²) and private parking in a hamlet overlooking the bocage countryside.
Nearby: Sarzay Castle, La Châtre race track, Golf des Dryades, Lignières Donkey and Horse Center... This old Berry-style house, dating from 1864 and completely renovated by us, offers the ideal setting for a convivial getaway with friends or family in an authentic and peaceful countryside location.
In the heart of the Vallée Noire, so dear to George Sand, you'll enjoy wonderful moments exploring our heritage sites: the Vic frescoes, George Sand's house and the Sainte-Anne chapel, the Angibault mill, Sarzay Castle, the Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre basilica, the Argenton-sur-Creuse archaeological site, the town of La Châtre, as well as the local festivals and exhibitions not to be missed throughout the year!
In our holiday home, which sleeps 11, you will find:
On the ground floor (accessible to people with reduced mobility): a beautiful living room (41m² with exposed beams and stonework, and an original bread oven), a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with one double bed and one single bed, a shower room (walk-in shower)/toilet, and a laundry room.
Upstairs: 3 bedrooms, two with one double bed and one single bed, and one with one double bed, a shower room, and a separate toilet.
No more worries about the heat upstairs!
You will find air conditioning on the upstairs landing; it is a reversible air conditioning/heating system.
Atlantic brand, installed in August 2025.
Electric heating (billed according to consumption). Free Wi-Fi.
Parking on the property and private grounds.
At the rear of the cottage, a landscaped and flower-filled relaxation area with garden furniture and a barbecue.
On the grounds, younger children can enjoy the swing...
During your stay, be sure to set aside time to explore our hiking and biking trails!
