About this cabin rental
The Poland Hill Hideaway is a cozy cottage on a private dirt lane nestled in the beautiful woods of Tionesta, PA in Forest County. This cabin features a full bathroom with shower/tub combo, a private bedroom with a queen size bed, as well as a loft with two additional queen size beds. The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 people. The hideaway is located in WMU 2F, which is the Allegheny National Forest region, for those who are interested in hunting.
Situated on nearly an acre, the Poland Hill Hideaway offers a screened-in front porch, ideal for watching the sunset or eating comfortably outside. In addition, the cottage boasts a rear-deck that faces the woods. The back yard area has a fire pit ring for campfires. There is a propane grill provided for use.
Equipped with a full kitchen, including a stove, oven, microwave, and refrigerator, guests can cook home-cooked meals. Utensils, dishes, cook wear,a coffee pot, and toaster are provided.
This cottage is a retreat from the everyday grind and is located within minutes from public hunting land (Collins Pine) and the Allegheny River (for those hunting, or fishing and kayak/canoe enthusiasts) and has multiple boat launch entries at various intervals along the river. You can bring your own kayak or canoes, or rent from a local outfitter in town.
In addition, Tionesta Lake is approximately 10 minutes from the Poland Hill Hideaway for those who wish to relax on the lake, hike, boat, or fish. Located nearly 30 minutes from Cook’s Forest, guests can engage in a variety of outdoor activities, including a children’s fishing pond, go-karts and putt-putt, hiking trails, or visit various local artisan shops. In addition, Hunter’s Station Golf Course is only 4.8 miles from the cabin and boasts beautiful views of not only the forest, but the Allegheny River which winds quietly along parts of the course.
Gather around the campfire, and enjoy the outdoors while making s’mores, mountain pies, and memories. Enjoy the warmth of the cabin on a cold night, watching the glow of the wood-pellet stove (pellets provided) while playing board games with family or friends. The main living area boasts a flat-screen TV that directly connects to the open kitchen, creating an open and welcome living space.
The welcome 3-ring binder includes multiple pamphlets and booklets regarding local activities, to include hiking trails, outdoor activities, horseback riding, restaurant information, and much more. Enjoy a peaceful walk and shop at the Tionesta Market Village, which houses multiple local artists, or visit Haller’s General Store or Bananas for an ice-cream treat on a hot day (open seasonally). In addition, you can load up on essential supplies at the local grocery store, Farm Fresh Foods, which is located in downtown Tionesta.

Garbage can be disposed of at the local hardware store, Arrowhead Outdoors, located on Elm Street (Main Street) in Tionesta, PA for $3.00 a bag.

Beautiful cabin! Was a perfect location for a weekend get away. Chris was wonderful and was very easy to communicate with. Definitely would stay again!
