About this apartment rental
Beautiful, spacious, first class, quiet, newly renovated vacation apartment in Schwangau, directly in the neighborhood of the famous Neuschwanstein castles. This is for sure one of the most beautiful spots in Bavaria. World known fantastic location - can´t be better. 300 m to Lake Forggensee. The elevator brings you directly from the garage to the apartment that sleeps 5 persons. 5 rooms, of which 3 Bedroom(s), Open-plan kitchen, living room, dining room, 1 bathroom, 1 shower room, 3 balconies. Surface area: 160 m²/ 1721 sqft. Year of construction: 1990. Amenities: Bedding: 1 Double bed, 3 Single beds.
As a special opportunity our guest can use the beautiful Ludwig-Spa (indoor and outdoor pool, saunas, steam bath etc.) in the Hotel directly in the neighborhood - just 2 min walk. For use of the Spa a daily fee of 10 € per person will be added to the rent (please note that the entrance to the Spa cannot be granted on a daily basis but just for the whole stay and must be reserved together with the booking, minimum age for Spa use is 14 years, due to the Corona situation currently the Spa is not open). Of course renting the apartment without Spa use is also possible. In Schwangau a very beautiful and popular public Spa is also nearby.
Schwangau is also the ideal location to visit Munich (1 - 1.5 hour drive).

We are a family of 6, and had a fantastic stay in M. Vormann appartment. It is located in a very nice little town (Schwangau) which is 5' from Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. The appartment is very clean, all very convenient and spacious. We have access to the King Ludwig Hotel (indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, spa, restaurant and lounge bar). It is fantastic to be able to swim at dusk, and admire a wonderful sunset.
From Schangau, you can easily go to a variety of castles, many cycling and walking routes.
I recommend this appartment very strongly!

The appartment is very spacious with balconies on 3 sides. The living room is very comfortable and the view from the very large living room is (mainly) fantastic.
The appartment is on the 3rd floor of a purpose-built block within the Koenig Ludwig hotel complex. There are lot of other appartment blocks in the complex so may be very busy at peak times.
We were there this Sept and unfortunately the hotel is currently building a spa extension so the view from the main balcony was of the building site - work starts at 7.30 each morning and lasts until about 5.00pm. I am not sure when this work will be completed but I would estimate at least another 6-9 months.
There is also a power line which runs alongside the appartment and close to the main balcony.
The apartment is on the very edge of Schwangau near the lake so its best to cycle or drive into the village for shopping and restaurants.
There was no local tourist info provided so you need to visit the local tourist info offices. The hotel reception has a few leaflets in German.
There are a few restaurants in Schwangau but more choice in Fussen which is 4km away.
I have rated this property as Average only because the description provided was not fully accurate (ie part of a hotel complex and building work in progress). The appartment itself is very well appointed and I'm sure that once the building work is complete it will be a more peaceful experience for guests.
