About this villa rental
A 4-star estate (gîte) with a heated swimming pool (enclosed building with retractable roof), jacuzzi, and sauna, there are 10 rooms at the base price, as well as sofa beds.
We also offer, at an additional cost, 5 rooms, 2 rooms with disabled access bathrooms, as well as a 12-bed dormitory, for a total of 17 rooms and a dormitory.
The maximum capacity will be 45 people.
A €3,000 deposit will be required upon arrival.
A truly ancient Touraine residence dating back 170 years, your next vacation spot is ideally located in the heart of the Loire Valley châteaux, between Loches and Chinon, 25 km from Chenonceaux, Azay-le-Rideau, and Richelieu, and 45 minutes from Beauval Zoo. Other Loire Valley châteaux, as well as Futuroscope, are less than an hour's drive away, or a 2-hour jaunt to Puy du Fou, and very close to the Loire Valley.
The Domaine de la Retardière, with its 280m² manor house and 490m² barn, offers an exceptional setting for 30 people. It is equipped with every modern convenience, offering 15 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. The estate features fully equipped kitchens, several living rooms ranging from 60m² to 100m², a spa with a 6-person jacuzzi and a 3-person sauna in a 100m² relaxation room with 4.5m ceiling height. Two large terraces, one of which is 70m², are well-furnished and welcoming, with a barbecue and gas grill. A large 11m x 5m swimming pool with a 220m² pool house and terrace equipped with 16 lounge chairs, bordered by a large lawn with a professional trampoline and a pétanque court, guarantees a wonderful holiday atmosphere. Housekeeping is provided, and all linens, kitchen linens, and bath towels are changed upon arrival. These services are included in the rental price.
Heating is included in the rental price between November and March. Outside of this period, if heating is required, it will be charged extra at a rate of €60 per day.
Both buildings have 1000 Mbps fiber optic internet.
The pool is heated in the fall and winter to maintain a water temperature of 24°C. If you prefer a higher temperature, pool heating will be charged at an additional cost.
The manor is very old, therefore, some finishes may not meet the requirements of those who prefer impeccable finishes.

The most amazing property with superb views, oodles to do for entertainment. The pool and spa facilities are amazing and all the sports equipment were well used by our family group. There was 38 of us, across three generations and we would visit again in a heart beat!

This is an amazingly beautiful period property with lots of original features, we chose this property because it was so beautiful, we held our wedding ceremony there and everything was perfect, the property was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed, we were a party of 45 people and it did not feel crowded. The pool was a welcome addition to the property also.You would need a car if staying her as not accessible by public transport, but we knew that before booking.

We were a group of 22 adults 1 child.We had a fabulous time,so much space in the grange and Manoir,loads of things to do,in & around the house,the swimming pool with the retractable roof was an absolute triumph and kept all very happy.we were able to visit many of the lovely places within easy distance of the house.There is a railway station nearby which made travelling into Tours very easy,it also enabled us to pick up members of the party who arrived by train very easily.Futuroscope was within easy travelling time and some of the youngsters travelled there by car.David & Angelina( the owners) were very easy to contact,and always replied promptly to any queries we had.We would all recommend La Retardiere to anyone looking for a big,comfortable fun filled holiday destination.
