About this house rental
In the historic fishing district, fisherman's house completely renovated located on the port of the swell, VERY APPRECIABLE private parking near the house, quiet street, near concerts, exhibitions, restaurants, shops, the sea is 80 m, many activities. WIFI ACCESS. From 180 euros the weekend 2 nights. Tourist taxes 1,20 €. During the school holidays, we rent from Saturday to Saturday, I prefer that we communicate together before booking.
You have the possibility to rent bed linen, duvet cover, fitted sheet, pillowcase, as well as towels and dish towels.
10 euros for 1 bed, 8 euros per person for towels.

We had a good week here but the start was stressful, access to the street was difficult (after a long journey) because many of the streets were blocked off with bollards and the SATNAV was unable to direct us accurately. The house seems very dark at first because there is not enough light in the kitchen/salon; we did not watch television as we are from abroad and we had to bring lamps down from a bedroom to be able to read books in the evening. Otherwise, the house was well decorated and equipped and the beds are very comfortable. It is very much a traditional house, don't expect IKEA style - but we really liked that! Plenty of toys for children, which is lovely for them. We especially enjoyed sitting in the garden during the afternoon, relaxing and listening to the birds. It is literally 2 minutes from the promenade with all the restaurants and shops, including the boulangerie but the street is very quiet - and it also has a cat theme, look out for all the pretty cottages with cats as part of the decor! Cancale is delightful and there is plenty to visit in this pretty region.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's a perfect spot in the quiet and very characteristic old fishermans quarters of Cancale. Five minutes, if not three, to the sea and the restaurants, bars and shops. Cancale is a lovely lively place with great food and the surroundings are gorgeous. Walking cliff paths is breathtaking. We also went to Mont-St-Michel and walked with a guide the pelgrimage route over the bottom of the sea at low tide. We got this idea from the provided trunk in the apartment with ideas. We used the book with walks in the aea too.
We are a family with 3 teens and there was plenty of room to have together time and for them to zone out into their own space. We've even had coffee out in the garden, the weather was nice.
Best restaurant we enjoyed was A Contre Courant, with great food and lovely staff. Make reservations! And the best place for Oysters was Atelier de Huitres. Delicious! And angain very nice staff.
If you plan on hiring this lovely appartment, take the parking space, it's well worth it.
We had a great time, we can recommend it to anyone. (Maybe only a problem if you can't climb stairs)

We hat woderful three weeks in this house. It ist a nice fisher house, perfect for a family with children.

Excellent location but property in need of updating and we had problems with both showers, one of which became unusable.
Situation regarding linen was unclear, and when we did obtain some at extra charge, it didn’t fit the duvet provided.
Directions to the property did not include how to access the restricted area where it is located, which is protected by bollards.
However, lovely area with plenty of local walks and easy access to restaurants.
