About this cottage rental
Enjoy this single story, fully furnished beach house in North Mission Beach less than 100 feet to the boardwalk and beach. With 2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, and a 1-car garage, it is ideal for families.

This lovely beach home has beautiful flooring, large windows and sliding glass doors, clean, comfortable furnishings, and an HD flat screen TV. Each room has a remote controlled heating / air conditioning unit so you can adjust temperature by room to your comfort.
A large sliding glass door opens the family room to the front patio which has ocean views and upscale patio furniture. You can enjoy meals on the patio table and inside on a round dining table that seats 4 (or 6 using included table top expansion). Kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, dishes, cookware, and flatware needed to prepare meals with your family. It also has a dishwasher for easy cleanup.
The master bedroom has a queen sized bed. The second bedroom sleeps 3 in bunk beds and a twin trundle bed. There is also a roll-away bed and pack-n-play (use your own sheets for pack-n-play) that can be used. The couch in the family room has a back that clicks down to make a bed that is just under full size (comfortable for one adult). The bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom with a bathtub/shower. There is a door to the side of the house from the bathroom where there is an additional outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off after the beach.
The cottage is stocked with clean, high quality linens, bath towels, beach towels, as well as a few beach chairs and sand toys. It also includes 2 beach cruiser bikes (bring your own helmets) and a barbecue (propane BBQ) on the front patio.
Rental includes Roku TV, high-speed cable internet, WiFi, and one car garage parking.
The single car garage is big enough for vehicles up to 189 inches in length (fits most compact and mid-size SUVs but not full-size SUVs). To check your vehicle length, search Google. Example search: length of 2021 Nissan Sentra. Google answer: 182.7"

Located in North Mission Beach, this cottage is on a quiet court surrounded by long-term residents and owners. It is the fourth property from the beach, less than a 30 second walk to the boardwalk and sand. Vanitie Court is one of the narrower parts of Mission Beach so it is also a short walk to Mission Bay. There are many restaurants, shops and activities all within walking distance.
Centrally located, this affordable rental is close to lots of beaches: Mission Beach, Mission Bay, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, and Ocean Beach. It is a short drive to Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, museums, and Downtown San Diego Gaslamp District.

* * * Generally for the summer we will require a minimum of 7 nights. We will consider shorter rental periods on request. Mid-week rentals that start and end between Sunday and Friday will be considered for a 2 or 3-night minimum. We are willing to work with you if your dates are flexible and if you are filling a short vacancy in our calendar.

Very good communication with host before the stay…we knew what to expect. We were steps away from the beach which we loved. We felt safe staying in this location. We were able to walk to breakfast, ice cream, my son in law enjoyed jogging at the beach walk in the morning. The house was great with a/c making it very comfortable especially for sleeping.

Cottage was the perfect place for my wife and our 3 adult children. The place was stocked with everything we could need, and being 3-4 houses from the beach was just what we wanted. Lots of places to eat and interesting to watch all the people in the boardwalk. Highly recommended staying here. Also, loved the front patio with large dining table and couches!!

We rarely go to California on vacation. Don't try to find the house in the dark. The house is in a neighborhood with very small homes on tiny (1300sq ft) lots. Houses are absolutely plastered right next to each other. Take the owner's word when he says get a small car. Garage is tiny and the alley that you pull into is very narrow with big trash cans lining the alley. Getting into and out of the garage is an adventure. The south side of the home looks like it's falling apart with rotted siding and trim. The garage door leaves a 6-8 inch gap when fully closed. The living room had a bunch of"Froot Loops" under the coffee table and couch. The living room furniture was very, very uncomfortable making it hard to watch TV, talk, etc. The house is 4 homes from the beach, which is great, but 3 houses from a very busy Mission Blvd. with what seemed like nightly drag races and lots of muffler-less motorcycles. Hard to enjoy the front porch for that reason.The owner is a real nice guy and communicated very well!We erred on our first night and walked to the grocery store along the street. Large groups of intoxicated young people screaming obscenities as they walked down the street. Maybe Fall semester break? Take the beach pathway and then cut in to the main street when you need to. Neither the rental or California in general was for us at all. 5-6 gasoline and 8-9 boxes of cereal. Total insanity! Live and Learn! We won't be returning to the rental or California anytime soon.
