About this villa rental
This lovely 4 bedroom 3 bathroom villa is situated a mere 15 minutes walk from the lively Provençal village of Flayosc, a traditional hilltop village known as the gateway to the Haut Var. The villa, which is fully air conditioned and has its own heated pool, is private and spacious offering comfortable open plan ground floor living accommodation. Two bedrooms and shower rooms are at ground floor level offering ideal accommodation for those with limited mobility. The delightful, mature gardens offer a variety of spaces to relax in and enjoy. There is an outdoor sitting room with comfortable sofas, under the shade of a covered pergola. It’s a great spot for a sundowner. There is a gas barbecue, and on a south facing terrace adjacent to the house there is a large dining table with seating for 8+ people, again with a covered pergola for shade in summer. There is a further south facing terrace outside of the kitchen/dining area. Pretty sets of tables, chairs and loungers around the property offer different perspectives to enjoy the garden and villa in sunshine and shade throughout the day. The heated swimming pool, with security fencing, is 8 x 4m and is for the exclusive use of the villa. Loungers are provided on the pool terrace. Mature shrubs and hedges give privacy. There is a boules pitch for that essential game of boules, and a set of boules is provided. The garden is enclosed and mainly on one level. The gardens are planted with mature shrubs and small trees offering shade and privacy. Flayosc is ideally situated only 30 minutes from the A8 autoroute, about 1 hour's drive from Nice and halfway between the Mediterranean and the Gorges du Verdon. There is much to do here - walking in the countryside through vineyards and olive groves; sampling the local wines (lots of good domaines around Lorgues and Les Arcs), and enjoying fresh produce from the colourful markets; visiting the many characterful villages and towns in the area; as well as a number of places of historic interest. The former railway track nearby is ideal for cycling and walking, and now forms part of the EuroVelo cycling track

We had a lovely stay here during the last 2 weeks in August. Lovely house, had everything we needed for a family of 6 with 3 teenagers aged 13, 14 and 16 and one child aged 11. Flayosc is a nice town and the area is beautiful with plenty to see/do not too far away. The pool was great and the sheltered seating areas too.

Lovely house, pool and surroundings! Perfect for two families with children, as there are two (or actually three) separate sleeping areas with their own bathroom. Had some problems with the dishwasher, which needs to be fixed or replaced. Judith (manager) was very helpful. Overall a very lovely holiday in La Belugue - would definitely come back another time!

My husband and I visited for a week in May with our children, aged 6 and 8, and our parents. The house was the perfect size, with very comfortable beds and three bathrooms between the 7 of us. The highlight had to be the pool, which was lovely and big, a good temperature and well equipped with pool toys, sun beds and umbrellas.The child gate was a great safety feature.Several outdoor seating areas with plenty of space in the shade meant we ate almost every meal outside in the beautiful weather. Despite the heat the house stayed cool and was equipped with air conditioning units.The house had everything we needed to cook, as well as plenty of books, DVDs, leaflets for local attractions and toys/games. We enjoyed using the boules set!Flayosc village centre is walkable from the house, although there is also a free car park for a quicker trip to the shops. We loved the market on Monday morning, and bought delicious fresh pastries every morning from one or other of the boulangeries. We also ate delicious meals at both Cafe du Midi and another local restaurant in the town square.For days out, we enjoyed visiting les Grottes de Villecroze (troglodytes caves, waterfall and a playground), l'Abbey de Thoronet (with a nice gift shop) and a walk around Chateaudouble with incredible views down the gorge.Travelling down to Flayosc was an adventure. After getting the Eurostar to Paris, we slept on the night train, arriving in Toulon then hiring a car. 1 hour ish to Flayosc.
