About this cottage rental
This is a rural location in a small hamlet, ideal for those who want peace and beauty yet with easy access to activities and sightseeing. Just below the house there are walking and cycle trails. The whole property also contains the owner's house, several outbuildings, a garden and two fields where Shetland ponies are grazed. It is all securely enclosed so safe for dogs or children. The cottage itself is traditional, but has all modernised features including electric radiators for controlled heat in every room. Access to the first floor is by a spiral stair so may not be suitable for very elderly or infirm guests. The cottage is rustic in style with beams but the ceilings are high enough for everyone.
There are three bedrooms that sleep 6 adults plus 2 children, and the facilities have been renovated to provide one full bathroom with bath/shower, washbasin and toilet, one separate WC with hand basin and an ensuite shower to the main bedroom. So even if you are in a large family or group, you should never have to wait for the bathroom!
Downstairs the open plan living room/kitchen includes 2 sofas, dining table and chairs and a fully fitted and equipped kitchen with gas hob and double electric oven.
The glass doors lead out to a gravelled south facing terrace where guests can dine under a pergola or relax on a sunlounger as you admire the flowers or watch the ponies grazing. A kettle style bbq is provided.
There is a swing set for younger guests, boules for everyone and a table tennis that can be erected in five minutes. A toddlers' paddling pool is available on request.

We couldn't have found a better gite as a base for our three-day driving tour of the beautiful Suisse Normande (and at such a good time of year).Jenny was a very welcoming and informative host. It was a lovely touch to find a bottle of wine and home-made strawberry jam on arrival!The location is so peaceful and idyllic.

Great location to base out of for visiting all the Normandy sights. Jenny with her furry friend Honey made for a wonderful greeting after a day of travel from the US. She is an amazing host filled with a vast knowledge of the area that helped us fine tune our adventures.
