The lodge was beautiful and the site was lovely and clean. We liked the little personal touches when we arrived, there was a pint of milk in the fridge, tea and coffee and a washing up pack with a tea towel. We don’t realise that the lodge had a dishwasher and washing machine as these were not listed on the lodges facilities so this was a massive bonus.
The hot tub was excellent and really clean. It was all warmed up ready for us when we arrived.
Staff at the arcades were lovely. Especially the tall lad (sorry to call him that but I don’t know his name), he was great with the kids, polite, respectful and helpful.
We ate out in the restaurant one night and were pleasantly surprised. Kids meals were excellent value for money at £5.99.
We stayed towards the back of the site and it was very quiet. You’re not supposed to use the hot tub after 10pm but others did, but they did so respectfully so it was no bother. The site was very well maintained and clean.
We will be booking to come back here at least twice next year we were that impressed and we’ve stayed at many caravan sites over the years with this one being the best we’ve stayed in.
For what we paid for 4 nights in August, it was very good value for money and far cheaper than other sites in the area.
