Great location, central to town and shops and pubs.
Comfortable bed but remember to take earplugs!
Bedding and towels had stains. The host insisted that these were clean and had been washed but you just shouldn’t provide guests with stained bedding if you are charging for letting your room out. There was also dirty cutlery in the drawers.

Convenient for the town centre.
No dedicated parking and no parking available in the public carpark opposite. This made unloading very problematic and impossible to stop at the verge on a very busy road.. A kind local resident a few minutes walk away let us park on their drive. Steep stairs, be very careful especially going down. Very loud noise from adjacent bar/night club until 2am, which will always be the case. The TV did not work. The Mid Lent Fair was on causing the parking issues. The host, who said they live in Stamford, would have known this and should have passed on this information prior to our stay. Knowing all of the former (I wish I had paid more attention to other reviews) I would not have chosen to stay at this property.
