For someone who is working weekly in Trefforest, being able to stay in Taffs Well was a dream. Moreso because the location is peaceful and I had solid undisturbed sleep every night. The location is blessed with tranquility being next to a neighbour, a pleasant location and being next to a quiet alleyway.
The furniture like the bed and facilities like the shower were a pleasant surprise too.
Nothing I couldn't fix myself. Guests should be prepared to bring cutlery with them like fork, big spoon, bowl and plate.
I also had my own mobile phone wifi because the wifi provided was usually at best a one bar signal.
These things didn't affect me but it's worth others knowing.
Also, I was never fully sure their sink was drinkable water. I think it was fine, but I often brought back my own water from work in a bottle just in case.

The owners were very nice and helpful. The location was perfect for the train station and going into Cardiff. The facilities were excellent with a lovely shower and a big bed.
If I had to say a negative it was that the bed was soft but that is only personal preference not a bad bed.

Good location , easy to find and parking available. Keys were left for us in a convenient place to allow a later check in.
Extremely cold apartment, the whole apartment got seriously cold in the night. Quite damp. Large bedroom with only a double bed, not a pleasant nights sleep with a child, as there are no children facilities. There is plenty of room for a larger bed or sofa bed or travel cot. Not enough towels provided, only 1 large towel. there is a fridge, dining table and chairs, weirdly enough, but no kitchen items for eating. We took cereal and bread to have breakfast, but this apartment had no bowls, cutlery or toaster or microwave.
