About this villa rental
Casa Bosco (140 square meters) offers a peaceful holiday. It is set in a lush Mediterranean garden with olive-lemon-orange-avocado trees, lots of sunny and shady spots.There is a private football field with goalposts.
This charming country house has been completely renovated, and furnished in a very pleasant modern way, whilst retaining its traditional Italian country house character.' On the ground floor are the living room with satellite TV, wireless Internet , small sitting room with open fire and sofa bed (queen size), dining room, kitchen and half bath with washing machine. On the upper floor, three double bedrooms, one of which has twin beds, one single room, two bathrooms with tub and/or shower.
There is a large terrace for outside dining, the garden is furnished with deckchairs. Gated parking. There is a large wood platform set out into the olive grove with sea views, perfect for your FREE estate produced wine. Football pitch for the more energetic.
The Tigullio Bay ( 40 kilometres east of Genoa) stretches from Portofino to Sestri Levante. The bay has long sandy-gravel and pebble beaches, a large Marina in Chiavari, Lavagna and Santa Margherita. This beautiful coastline offers elegant seaside resorts such as Santa Margherita, Rapallo with golf club, riding center and cultural events, Zoagli a small cozy serene beauty, Sestri Levante in the Bay of Silence, two arms of the sea embracing a village suspended in blue. Last but not least: Portofino, which does not need to be introduced to you: the rich and the beautiful (and you) in the little harbor for an aperitif, cappuccino or meal.
Chiavari is a typical Ligurian town, good shopping, good restaurants and bars and the well known antique market which is held every second weekend of the month.
East of the Tigullia bay is the national park 'Cinque Terre' which you best reach by train (30 minutes from Chiavari), five miles of rocky shore, thousands of kilometers dry stone walls cultivated vines, five 'Cinque' little villages 'Terre' once only possible to reach by sea. The dramatic coast falling to the sea with cliffs which are often vertical, enchanting beaches among the rocks, the world renowned trail connecting the villages.
One week in Casa Bosco is too short: beaches, sea trips to Portofino and San Fruttuoso, or all the way down to Porto Venere, walking in the Cinque Terre, shopping in Genoa, Zoagli a must, Nervi's seaside boulevard you should not miss and the fresh fish market in S. Margherita. Foodies will love this house, we will provide free Extra Virgin Olive Oil and wines produced on the estate - ideal accompaniments to the local specialties, pasta al pesto, anchovies in lemon, focaccia and pies - sweet and savory - and of course the wonderful ice-creams.

We love coming here for a peaceful stay- especially off-season. This is our third time down here and we love Chiavari too- it's a 'real' town which doesn't feel as though it is only open in the summer. The train ride to Cinque Terre is very easy (and very affordable) and there are many lovely walks in this area which don't require a car.
Jennifer and Mauro are extremely hospitable and we enjoyed their oil and wine so much that we took some home!
Highly recommended for all types of people and all types of holiday- a lovely getaway!

Casa Bosco offers the serenity of the country while being just a pleasant ten minute walk from the old town of Chiaveri. We loved the peaceful bustle of life around the open air market often sitting at a table on the edge of the piazza enjoying a capucino and watching the townspeople go about their business. There are also many nearby towns that we fell in love with including Camogli, Zoagli, Sestri Levante and Portovenere.
I highly recommend a stay at Casa Bosco.

Casa Bosco has rustic charm - accommodation is spacious and the house was equipped with everything we required. The garden offered a flat grass area to play football on , and a decking area as a pleasant place in which to sit and relax but it's only a short walk into the busy town of Chiavari . Although there are beaches locally and along the coast too, we weren't able to find a good sandy beach - at the time we visited all were very crowded and the vast majority are sectioned off by hotels who charge for access to a sun bed . The small strips of public beach were in our experience poorly maintained. However if you are looking for more than a beach holiday there are plenty of places to visit in the area & Chiavari itself is much more than a tourist town - you feel you are seeing the real Liguria .
Jennifer was extremely welcoming, kind and helpful - it was good to have her on hand to answer any questions about the house or area and she dealt with a Wifi problem quickly and efficiently .
