Καταλάθος κλείσαμε μία μέρα παραπάνω στο check out, πράγμα που παρά τις αλλεπάλληλες προσπάθειες μας δεν λύθηκε ποτέ. Μέχρι που βρήκαμε και τους ιδιοκτήτες που είπαν ότι δεν υπάρχει κανένα πρόβλημα αρκεί να συμφωνήσει και η booking. Η οποία booking μας λέει ότι δε συμφώνησε ο ιδιοκτήτης. Οπότε όλο αυτό κατέληξε να είναι ένα ματς Πινγκ πονγκ και τίποτα άλλο. Απαράδεκτο

Μικρά πράγματα που κάνουν την διαφορα,οπώς να λειτουργούν όλα τα ρολά στα παράθυρα, τα καθήσματα στις τουαλέτες, να υπάρχει περισσότερος καφές και τσάι όταν κάποιος μενει πολλές ημέρες κλπ.

The 10 days in Kolonaki Haven went mostly smooth. The apartment looks just like in the pictures. It is large, big windows, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 very big living room with a very big dining table and two extendable sofas, 1 small kitchen, but well equipped and 1 balcony with a small table and chairs. It was clean enough. There is a washing machine and they even left two laundry pods for a first washing. The beds were comfortable; there was a lot of natural light. There were clean sheets and enough pillows, as well as clean towels. There were also an iron and a hairdryer that came in hand. The owner, or the agency representative, kept in contact mostly on time. The area is extremely quiet, safe, beautiful and clean. I loved it! There are supermarkets in walking distance and a cafe just across the street. There is also a pizza place very close by. There were no noises whatsoever during the night, except for a few visiting cats. The apartments building is situated exactly at the bottom of the Lycabettus hill, the highest point in Athens, which offers a spectacular view of the whole city. Just 50 steps from the entrance in the apartments building, there is the funicular (or cable car) that takes you up the hill in 2 minutes. The walk there is amazing, as well, through a garden of cacti and exotic plants. The walk from the city centre to the apartment takes about 15 minutes and can be difficult for someone not used to exercise, as you have to go up lots of stairs. We used to go down to the city centre on foot and come back by taxi (it usually cost around 5 euros). I would return to this apartment, but there are some changes that need to be done.

The access into the apartment can be difficult. There is ONLY one key, locked in a coded box, at the entrance. On the arrival day we received a guide that contained 2 codes. At the entrance, there were 3 coded boxes of different shapes and colours and there were no specific instructions in the guide. We spent around one hour to solve the mystery, and identified the proper box and code after getting in touch with the owner via whatsapp. One day, the door accidentally closed behind me, because of the wind, while the key was in. My husband had to climb the balcony through the back yard and cut his thigh in the process. There should be 2 keys, especially when there are more than 2 people accommodated! There also was an electricity power cut one day and we didn’t have electricity for 13 hours. There was not a general problem, but only at this apartment. I didn’t appreciate the fact that the owner gave me instructions on how to operate the central panel in the apartment, and also in the basement. It was neither my competence, nor my duty. Two female agents were sent to solve the problem, but they failed. An electrician came, eventually, and repaired the broken cable in the basement. Some of the food in the fridge went off and we lost most of the day staying inside, to wait for someone to fix it, plus we didn’t have any charged phones. I would have expected a refund for that specific day, but it didn’t happen. The ceiling and lower walls by the windows in the living room could use fresh painting. In order to have hot water, we had to constantly press a specific button in the electricity central panel, but even though, we had cold showers sometimes. I have no idea why. The toilet seat in the main bathroom was broken and kept slipping sideways. It would have been nice to find some toiletries in the bathroom, as we arrived late, at night, and didn’t find any shops open. Water from the air conditioning flows on the balcony.
