Absolutely superb location in jungle next to Four Seasons Hotel! Very beautiful hotel with Gratitude Garden, crystal bathes, beautifully carved furniture - you can see how passionate the owner is about his hotel

That I could not stay longer😍, since it was fully booked. Though managed to extend by 1 day ❤️❤️❤️

nous avons plusieurs recommandations, pas d’eau offerte ni de boisson de bienvenue. Il n’y a pas de frigo, ni de serviette de piscine ce que je trouve dommage pour un logement de ce standing. Ce logement ressemble plus à un airbnb. Et enfin, il a été décrit comme un 70m2 alors qu’il n’en faisait que 25/30.

Le personnel est super, ma chambre était incroyable une si belle vue. Ils vous aident à organiser vos vacances et activités et sont super réactifs. J’ai passé un très bon moment chez River Song et j’ai même prolongé.

The view is as seen in the photos, really stunning. The on site staff are really kind, helpful, and go out of their way to help you. The rooms are big and clean.

Ok, so as mentioned, the staff and view are the big positives here. Sadly there are many negatives. I’ll try to be as honest and constructive as I can be. The upkeep of the premises is not great at all, over grown vegetation everywhere. (And yes I know it’s jungle but we just did 2 weeks in remote Java and much simpler accommodation was far better taken care of). An open air tub on the veranda is unusable as it’s so dirty. Be prepared for major mozzie bites. We booked 7 rooms, the double room was advertised as being 40sqm, it was 12 at most. There are NO facilities, I mean NO facilities on site, nowhere to buy a coffee or a coke or beer. Nothing. This is more Airbnb it’s not a resort in any capacity. There was no electricity when we arrived. Finally, the worst part. The owner who is an American man arrived as we were checking out and started saying nasty comments about previous guests and how they didn’t tip enough. He then told us we needed to tip his staff as much money as possible because “that’s how they make their money”. Well how about you PAY them a decent salary that they fully deserve! We paid a LOT of money to stay at this place, and to hear that the wonderful staff don’t really get a good pay from that made all of our group pretty annoyed.
