Location was good for the purpose of our stay.
Comfortable and very clean, good housekeeping.
We arrived at 2pm check-in time but the hotel was closed, with no message or email of how to gain access. As we had travelled from Heathrow after international travel, this was frustrating and concerning. We eventually gained access after a local publican contacted the hotelier on our behalf.
Also, entry into (our) room (7) has a drop of 2 steps into the room. My wife understandably stumbled and almost resulted in injuring her ankles/legs. There is no warning on the door or doorway of any sort such as "mind your step". This should be corrected !

Quiet
The place was deserted - staff and other customers - and in darkness from 10 pm when I returned to 10 am when I left the following morning!
No breakfast service.
