Rural retreat

Location great for my work, apartment very clean and well looked after. Bed comfortable, shower effective. It was great to be able to park undercover right next to the entrance.

The shower head hose needs replacing, the apartment could do with one or two extra table lamps to make it a little less austere. Instructions for the induction hob would be good for an old git like me.

Lovely location on the edge of the village. Both of our dogs settled straight away, which makes our live easier.

Would have been good to have instructions to use the induction hob and heating.

Very clean. Great kitchen with good facilities. Dog friendly.

We found it incredibly difficult to find the property without a house name. We drove up and down the road trying to find it. Knocked on several neighbours’ doors, but no help. We tried phoning the host but had to leave a voicemail. Eventually we found it, although the drive was full of vans and cars which made us feel that it wasn’t a rural retreat. The property was chilly on arrival. Also the tv wouldn’t operate due to poor internet signal. We tried the router but that failed to make the channels work. Additionally the kitchen tap leaked and could be heard dripping in the bedroom. The owner told us that we needed to tighten the tap more, but that did not stop the dripping. Previous reviews have mentioned the tv and other recommendations, eg bathroom hooks etc have not been acted upon.

Comfortable bed, clean and large, airy space with parking

Cold and unsure of being able to use fireplace ( no logs provided as per photo. Host did not engage or return queries) 7. Well equipped kitchen but frying pan very small.
