The Burrow

Sehr schönes kleines und modernes Apartment, zentral in Penrith gelegen, sehr sauber. Für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt zum Wandern im Lake District optimal, Busstation und Bahnhof sind in ein paar Minuten fußläufig erreichbar. Küche und Bad sind prima und vollständig ausgestattet. Kommunikation im Vorfeld war sehr freundlich und problemlos, man fragte sogar während des Aufenthalts, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Sehr schön fand ich auch die Bücherauswahl, die dort bereit stand - dort fand ich noch ein paar Inspirationen für Touren in Lake District.

Der Tisch und die Stühle im Küchenbereich sind etwas klapprig, eher für den Garten oder Balkon passend. Das ist nicht weiter schlimm, aber irgendwie wären stabilere Möbel beim Essen angenehmer gewesen. Möglicherweise ist der Eingang erstmal etwas schwierig zu finden, in einem etwas schmalen Durchgang - aber wenn man den Anweisungen der Gastgeber folgt, eigentlich kein Problem.

Debbie was very accommodating with an early check-in time on arrival and a later checkout time on departure. The property is very centrally located in Penrith and handy for the bus station, in particular. The property was spotless and was very well appointed, having everything I needed for a weekend stay.

As a couple visiting the Lake District, we couldnt have asked for a more wonderful base of operations. Debbie was very communicative and we felt she was accessible to us if we needed it. The thoughtful design of the property accomodated everything we needed for our short break. It was comfy, cosy and we were more than happy to be "rained in" on one of the days. The location is very central and even though theres no parking at the property itself, this wasnt an issue for us at all. Sandgate car park is 3 mins walk away. We would definitely return!

Such an amazing stay! Very well equipped, so cosy & warm, in a great location, easy check-in & Sandgate car park is only a minute walk away! 100% recommend!
