American/English family of 4 staying for 1 night at end March. Fantastic location to the beach area (within a couple of blocks). Lovely spot with nice view over the park/square. FREE parking on street but expect to walk a few minutes if you arrive later evening. Easy access at any time. Steep staircase to the top of the building (3 floors) and an even steeper set of ladder stairs to the loft in the apartment that contains the twin bedroom and the only bathroom (not convenient).Modern furnishings. Clean bathroom. Hot shower. Comfortable beds. Cosy space but ample for 1 or 2 nights only. About a 20 minute drive to the Port of Dunkirk.
It was 'enough' for a short stop but a negative to have only a curtain in place of a bathroom door - my teenagers would not shower and were very conscious of the lack of privacy. Hazardous drop directly behind the upper bedroom door and the steep ladder steps - avoid with young kids or older adults. Kitchen needs a deep clean of cabinets, drawers and equipment. We travel a lot and not accustomed to being instructed to walk 'somewhere close by' in the neighborhood to deposit rubbish and recycling. I wouldn't ask my guests to take care of their own trash at the end of their stay so I think that's a big negative. We had to catch a ferry and be out by 5am so we weren't about to go looking for it on the way out but left our waste sorted and ready to be deposited by the cleaner. 2 pillows at least in the master bed would be a positive addition. The entry area/hallspace gives a poor first impression. It needs paint and repairs to the stairway.
Some points here are knit-picky and intended to point out to possibly improve but in general, it's a lovely, charming space and yes, we would return to stay again. Thank you.

L'escalier pour accéder à l'appartement est raide et étroit, et celui pour aller à la chambre est dangereux.
Il n'y a pas de poubelle extérieure ?? donc pas de tri sélectif.
Impossible de faire marcher la télévision sans notice

Les deux couchages nettement séparés et l’emplacement
Les matériaux de rénovation ne sont pas top, les pièces ne sont pas insonorisées.
