Historic nature of the building. Size of room. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking.
We had stayed once before so knew broadly what to expect.
Absence of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. I suppose we are used to having tea and coffee making facilities in hotel rooms nowadays even in Germany. We asked and were given a kettle which we could use to make our own drinks as we had bought picnic supplies with us so that sorted us out. But something for the future perhaps?
Poor light near mirrors - very difficult to see to put makeup on!
