Great property, very clean

We stayed in apartment number 9, at the top of the building. It's a lovely little apartment. It was very clean and very well equipped. It had a fridge, microwave and kettle plus access to a shared kitchen. The kitchen had lots of different cooking equipment plus a proper oven and freezer.
My husband works away so me and my daughter often travel to be with him. We normally book a Premier Inn but this was a much better experience. The free parking was extremely handy and it was easy to find a parking spot in the designated area.
The building was in a handy place for the shops, and the beach is within walking distance. The area felt relatively safe at night. We really loved this little apartment and hope to come back again.
The room was very hot. The heating was off but we still had to use the fan that was provided to be comfortable. We also had the window open all night. It is early October and slightly warmer than usual for this time of year but it made us wonder what it would be like in the hotter months. It may need a bigger fan.
There was also a noisy neighbour in one of the building opposite. It seems to be an elderly man with possible mental health issues. He was noisy throughout the day and night, every day, sitting outside and loudly coughing, hawking up phlegm and being very vocal about it all. Hopefully, this situation will resolve itself when his cough clears up and it is definitely not the hosts' fault. It was also extra noisy for us because we had the window open.
Without the elderly man and the heat, this little holiday would have been pretty perfect. We would come back to this apartment and would definitely use the hosts again.

Comfy beds, excellent location to visit historic Portsmouth, the coast and the dockyards.
Good places to eat locally and an excellent range of shops ten minutes walk away.
Free road side parking outside the door.
Very clear access instructions including a short video to show the key box and how to gain access into the studio.
We were very concerned on our journey to Portsmouth as when I asked for details about parking I was asked to complete a form. This included very personal information as well as a request for photo id. It felt like a scam and I was concerned the owner/management company might withhold details if we did not complete the form. I questioned the reason for this document and after being sent it a second time, and me raising concern, I was then sent the information needed for the parking and building access. I don't know if the form was sent in error but it caused a lot of concern and spoilt my visit to a place of interest because I was anxious we might have been dupped and have no where to stay when we arrived in Portsmouth.
Luckily, it turned out ok and we were very happy with the accomodation. It was compact and pretty basic (take your own toilet rolls and rubbish bags as there were no bags and only a part toilet roll supplied) but that aside, the cleanliness and bed comfort made the accommodation good value and we were happy with our stay even if it did get off to a bad start.
