Swallow's Perch Guest Suite

Well equipped, spacious suite.

A little out of the way, but the listing made that clear in advance.

Great location, very easy to get to town, to the lake, farmstands and other roadside businesses while still being out of the way from some of the busier areas on the island. The unit was nicely renovated and we enjoyed the use of the full kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker etc). Lots of natural light and we enjoyed sitting out on the little patio overlooking the lake and the hills. Things were well-thought out, like providing extra sheets and blankets for use if need be, a large collection of board games, privacy screens and greenery around the patio area making things feel private, and other little details like labelling the hot/cold on the shower were very helpful. There was also designated parking and a separate gate entrance for guests. Definitely will be recommending to folks we know who are planning trips to Salt Spring.

We were told in advance there was one big friendly dog living upstairs however when we arrived there were two dogs in the yard including one smaller dog who was jumping at our legs while we were arriving. The second dog was also friendly so it ended up being totally fine, but as someone who gets nervous around unfamiliar dogs it was initially worrisome and so it would have been nice to have clearer a heads up.

The location was great with a vehicle. Bright airy rooms, great outdoor space.

Hard to find but it was at night.
