Adventure awaits! Western NC and North GA abound with opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (20-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, 35-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina or launch your own from nearby public access. Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) less than 5 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (25-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing. On the GA side, take a 30-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 45-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are two "local" airports 1 in Andrews NC and the other in Blairsville GA.
*Dogs allowed with a $250 fee per dog
*No smoking
*No parties or events
*Only the number of people the house sleeps are allowed at the property at any given time.
*Please supply your own firewood for the outside firepit
*2 car garage for guest use
* Covered RV parking with full hook-up.
* The lake level starts going down after Labor Day weekend. There is not water under the dock year around.

* There are 4 TVs in the home. 1 in each living area and 1 in each of the king bedrooms. All Tv's are streaming.

We had an amazing stay at Lake Chatuge! The home was spotless and incredibly comfortable — the perfect place to relax after days of exploring. We loved having a ping pong table for friendly family competitions and cozy evenings around the fire pit. The views of the lake and surrounding mountains were absolutely gorgeous and made every morning feel special.The location couldn’t be better: close to grocery stores, great little antique markets, and plenty of hiking trails to choose from. It truly offered the ideal mix of adventure and convenience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and fun getaway!

This was the perfect spot for my family of 8. We hardly left and spent our days on the dock out by the lake. We loved it!
