4P Unique canal apartment A Location in Utrecht

This canalside apartment is ideally situated, just a short walk from the central station and in the heart of the city. For people with mobility issues, or big heavy suitcases, the location may not be suitable, due to the steps leading down to the canalside (which can be slippery in wet/snowy weather) and the cobbled path leading to the apartment. The apartment itself is spacious and very well-equipped. There is a welcome booklet containing "house rules", instructions on the various appliances, as well as tips of places to visit, where to shop and eat, and where to dispose of rubbish and recycling. We very much appreciated finding tea bags and coffee pods, sugar, salt and pepper, as well as a little welcome "goody bag", dishwasher tabs and washing-up liquid. The first bedroom has a glass wall adjoining the dining/living area, but there is a folding room-divider to use as a privacy screen, or block out some light, if needed.

It was a bitterly cold week when we stayed there and we were very grateful for the underfloor heating, and the blankets. Unfortunately, due to the AC vent, and gaps between the front door and the doorframe, it was very draughty sitting on the sofa and armchair. If this could be resolved, perhaps with draught-excluding weatherstrips, the apartment would be very cosy. I mentioned this to the cleaner when he arrived as we were checking out, so hopefully that got back to the property manager. We did not actually meet the property manager as we arrived very late in the evening. Luckily access to the apartment is via a code (sent by text on arrival day) which is entered on the keypad by the front door. We really liked this alternative to a traditional key; it is particularly useful when there are 3 or 4 guests coming and going at different times.

Geweldige locatie. Gezellige inrichting, schoon sanitair. We hebben de verhuurder niet gezien maar alles was duidelijk met in-en uitchecken. Zeker een aanrader!

Er zitten wat vochtplekken in de muren maar hier heb je verder geen last van.
