Beacon Crag

Fantastic location, amazing views and loved the peacefulness of the house. The host leaves you to enjoy your stay but provides her number to make contact if you need anything. Breakfast cereals in room and milk/yoghurt/cheese in fridge so we could have a leisurely breakfast without the need to adhere to a set breakfast time like in most B&B's. The most peaceful guesthouse we've ever stayed in. Lovely short easy coast walk into Porthleven, only about 0.4 miles. Would thoroughly recommend.

The fact we never got to meet the hosts three dogs 😄.

The location of Beacon Crag is spectacular. Right on the edge of a headland with a 180 degree view of the sea. Don’t be put off by the distance from Porthleven because it is literally less than 10 minutes easy walk to the harbour and quicker if you only go as far as the first pub. Breakfast of cereal/muesli and yogurt provided in the room along with tea and coffee and hot chocolate. Perfect distance for a walk from Penzance if you are doing the South West Coast Path. Clean, comfy, friendly. We stayed here in March 2026 and would highly recommend it.

Nothing at all. It was perfect and I can’t fault it. It was so quiet the only thing we could hear was the waves on the cliffs below.

There are undoubtedly fabulous views from the property, the room we had looked out onto the sea and it is a spectacular sight to wake up to. The walk into Porthleven is easy and quick

The room was comfortable but some of the furniture and decor could do with a bit of care and attention. The breakfast arrangement didn’t really work for us, and is very limited but is what is clearly advertised by the owner. Also, I know other reviewers appreciated the low key approach but we found it a bit odd that we didn’t see any staff even though we heard them downstairs and outside. It would have been nice to have a real person greet us or just check that everything was ok, as we were there for 3 nights.
