The Blackstone M Hotel was an absolute delight from start to finish. Its location couldn’t be better - right across from the Shanghai Symphony, yet tucked away on a semi-secluded campus surrounded by charming restaurants, a cozy coffee shop, a cute bookstore, and more.
As a boutique hotel with only 24 rooms, it never felt crowded. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, and my room was not only spotless and comfortable but also elegantly designed, with every detail thoughtfully considered.
Breakfast was another highlight - a semi-self-serve spread complemented by made-to-order dishes that were incredibly fresh and delicious.
The staff were wonderfully friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special. A special shout-out to Manager Grace Zhu, whose warmth, professionalism, and genuine care shone through when she personally arranged a warmed breakfast sandwich and fresh orange juice for my father to take on his early morning flight. She truly made us feel more like valued guests than just visitors.
I can’t recommend the Blackstone M Hotel highly enough - it’s a rare combination of location, comfort, elegance, and exceptional hospitality.
If I have to be nitpicky, cars can’t pull right up to the hotel entrance, and because the street outside is one-way, we had to cross the street to get in and out of the car. This was a little inconvenient for elderly travelers, but really not an issue at all if you aren’t traveling with seniors.
