About this villa rental
Villa Elihrisos is a luxurius villa of 225sqm located in Akrotiri area near Chorafakia.It is among many sandy beaches and facilities and near Chania town and offers a unique accommodation with its superior quality furniture and equipment,the spacious interior and extrior spaces and the big heated,kids-friendly pool of 50sqm.It is the ideal location for a couple seeking privacy,for a family holiday or for a group of friends.It offers magnificent views and can satisfy every demanding guest.
This outstanding villa is like 2 separate houses offering a unique benefit to big groups of travelers. It is a private and self catered house equipped with and providing all the necessary appliances and items to ensure a smooth and comfortable stay. The owner has done a great job decorating the house and all the furniture is of high quality.
Ground Floor
The entrance to the house is on the ground floor with just a couple of steps to get in the house. There are 2 bedrooms - a master and a twin-, one bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a big dining area, a sitting room with beautiful sofas which can be used as extra beds upon request and a laundry room with a washing machine. Living room and kitchen have air-conditioning, satellite TV and access to wireless internet and bedrooms offer floor fans for cool air.
First Floor
An interior round staircase connects the ground floor to the first floor of this huge villa. There is also an exterior entrance, in case there is no need for a connection between the two floors.
A big open space with an additional sitting area, a kitchen and a dining area can be seen upon getting to this floor. There are also 2 bedrooms with double beds and a huge bathroom. The second bedroom is located over the kitchen while the sofas can be used as beds upon request! The common spaces have air conditioning while the bedrooms have efficient floor fans for cool air. Wireless internet and satellite TVs are also available on this floor. What really makes a difference on this floor, though, are certainly the glass displays of the owner's personal objects which add a "historic" and a more personal feeling to this place. The first glass display is filled with history as objects of the owner's childhood are exhibited. They are a part of Cretan history and provide interesting insight on how life used to be on the island at least half a century ago. The second glass display has the owner's favourite objects from her trips around the world.
The pool area
The pool area is vast with a big heated pool of 50sqm and a lot of sitting options. The depth of the pool is 1.40m and the kids pool is 0.50m. The feature of the heated pool can be used upon request and with extra charge of 20 euros per day.
A big dining table can also be found here along with a traditional wood oven and a bbq!
The property is very easily accessed by the main road and it is 5 minutes away from many local sandy beaches like Stavros ( the most famous scene of Zorbas the Greek was filmed in this beach ), Tersanas and Kalathas to name but a few. Nearby the house there are many local useful facilities, like mini markets, nice restaurants, a pharmacy and everything that you are going to need during your stay. It is also very close to a big town with big supermarkets and other options for food. Chania is about 20 minutes away while the international airport CHQ is 15 minutes away.

Great location for us but we do recommend a car. Lots of good restaurants near by. Although the pool was nice and heated, for us it was not warm enough. Plenty of sun beds etc. inside lots of room and reasonably well equipped. Only reason for a 4 star rather than 5 star rating is that things are beginning to show there age. This might be due to end of season. The hosts are very helpful nice people and always replied to any questions quickly. I do recommend a stay here especially if you have a big family group. There is lots of room, dishwasher, washing machine and full kitchen.

Fantastic hosts, were very accessible and helpful. Villa was perfect with a great pool set up and outdoor space. Watching the sunset from the first floor balcony was great. Would definitely return and recommend. Restaurants/ bar within walking distance or 2 minute drive away, Tarsanas beach was 4 minutes drive away and has a really nice safe sandy beach with a beach bar and taverna.

Our stay at the villa was absolutely brilliant. The location was perfect, peaceful, scenic, and close to everything we needed. The villa itself was beautiful, well-equipped, and made for a truly relaxing getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
