I recently stayed at Grafton Street Apartments and while the location is excellent—right in the heart of the city near shops and restaurants—my actual stay was very disappointing.
First, the noise was a major issue. The apartment above mine had constant, loud footstep noises—so heavy it felt like Bigfoot was pacing back and forth all day and night. It made it very hard to relax or sleep.
Second, access to the apartment is difficult. There are about 35 steep steps just to get to the first floor, and there’s no lift. This wasn’t clearly mentioned when booking, and it’s definitely not suitable for people with mobility issues, families with kids, or anyone with luggage.
While the apartment was clean and the staff were fine, the lack of soundproofing and the poor accessibility made it a frustrating experience. I wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re okay with noise and climbing a mini Everest to reach your room.
