No15 Castle View

I really liked the hotel’s location near the castle, with convenient access to the main attractions.

The view from the window wasn’t of the old castle after all, but of an ordinary street. I was also disappointed by the lack of hot water, but everything else was excellent.

Our Airbnb double booked us and we desperately needed somewhere to stay for 1 night. This blew our expectations out of the water. It was lovely, clean and well stocked. We couldn't have asked for more

Didn’t like top floor flat

There was a single bed in the room as well as a double so I used that. It was comfortable. The kitchen is comfortable and everything seems to work OK. Fruit is provided in the kitchen. It was very fresh. Everything was clean. It was quiet. Lots of storage. The transom above the door was covered with fabric for privacy.

The apartment is on the top floor, up 3 flights of stairs. Lucky my luggage wasn't heavy. Utilitarian wall and floor coverings spoil the look. A rug or two would help. Would be better with wonky toilet seat fixing, bath mat and slippers provided. A shelf or other place to put toiletries would be good. Was very hot on arrival - had to open window to cool room down. I saw the room opposite didn't have privacy covering for the transom - light would have entered the room from the hall. I was not expecting a shared kitchen and didn't find it until the next morning. A note on the table to explain, rather than a message in the app, would have helped. Boiler switches off periodically so one has to go out into the shared kitchen before one can have hot water in the morning. There was a message sent about this but it referred to a picture which didn't come, so I had to wake the host up very early to find out how to fix it. I requested an invoice 3 times but it never arrived. I think the host tried to send - there's some disconnect in the system?
