The location of this villa was perfect for me! Quiet, secluded yet close enough to Ubud for other activities if that is your desire! For me I just enjoyed the serenity! Watching fathers and son’s fishing in the pond, farmers working in the fields and the butterflies and birds going about their business was the perfect escape from the rat race of Legian! The staff were attentive not intrusive and nothing was too much trouble for them! The breakfasts were great way to start each day! Wifi worked perfectly!

We recently spent three nights at Rumah Tengah Sawah, approx 40min from Ubud. From the moment we booked, the owner Ayu went above and beyond to ensure our comfort—especially as I was recovering from a fractured leg. Ayu thoughtfully arranged airport transport and coordinated with our driver to drop us directly at the villa, avoiding the narrow farm road that leads to the villas.
The hospitality throughout our stay was exceptional. Ayu and her team were always available and incredibly attentive. When I fell ill on the first night, Ayu kindly had her staff prepare a soothing ginger and honey tea and even offered to arrange a doctor’s visit, a thoughtful act of kindness.
The accommodation was spacious, clean, and very comfortable.
There’s a well-stocked and clean local shop—Toko Kartika Jaya—nearby for essentials. We also indulged in the 60-minute Spirulina Facial and 120-minute Massage with Warm Stones, both of which were incredibly relaxing and highly recommended.
The location is remote.
Sekar 1 Villa is closer to the main road and Warung Semana, a local restaurant, making it a lot noisier at night and during the day with constant traffic.

Voor ons geen 2e keer meer
Er was niks tedoen in de omgeving
Met de grab doe je er ruim een half uur over naar het centrum
De grab kon het adres nieteens vinden
Radio overlast van de werkers
Je hoorde de auto’s dag en nacht van de hoofdweg
Snachts hoorde je geluiden van insekten
Rijstvelden waren aan de andere kant mooier
