Gîte au Bonh'Air Home Rentals

We had a wonderful stay in this large, well appointed house. There are 4 good sized bedrooms, 2 have en-suite showers and sinks (no en-suite toilet). One additional shower in the utility room. 2 seperate toilets. The huge open plan kitchen and living area is lovely and there is a real fire with a supply of logs. The kitchen is exceptionally well-stocked with glasses, cups, plates and cutlery. I've never seen so many. Dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, coffee machine, all useful additions. The beds are comfy but almost all twins, i think there was only one actual double bed in the whole house. There are automatic black out blinds on all windows and doors that you operate by switches inside, absolutely brilliant. Lovely little garden area out back with beautiful views. A courtyard with plenty of parking. There are so very many great places to visit nearby, La Coupole is brilliant; we also went to Azincourt, Boulogne, La Goudale brasserie for a tour, and St Joseph Village on the way from Calais. Its a fabulous area to visit and the gite was an ideal base to explore it. The owners were attentive and brought us fresh eggs. There was a slight language barrier but we struggled through! We were asked to sign a contract upon arrival, all pretty standard, but be aware that you are expected to clean the property before departure to avoid a significant cleaning fee. This seems pretty standard for France in our experience but not everyone is aware. Overall great, would stay again.
