Spacious yet wonderfully cosy, Ash Tree Holiday Cottage offers the perfect rural escape for families or small groups looking to unwind in the heart of Mid Wales. Located between gently rolling fields and ancient woodland, this charming retreat provides not only peace and privacy but also a luxurious six-seater hot tub with panoramic views over the picturesque Crai Valley, an idyllic spot to soak and relax after a day exploring the Brecon Beacons.
Inside, the cottage is thoughtfully styled with comfort and charm in mind. The welcoming lounge is fitted with plush sofas, a stylish wood burner, and a TV, making it an ideal space to curl up with a book or enjoy an evening film.
Adjacent to the lounge is a fully equipped kitchen complete with an electric cooker, electric hob, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, and a fridge/freezer. At its heart, the dining table seats six guests, creating a perfect space for meals and conversations. A separate cloakroom with WC and washbasin completes the ground floor.
Upstairs, two beautifully appointed bedrooms offer ample space for up to six guests. Bedroom one is designed in a family style, featuring both a king-size and a double bed with a TV, while bedroom two boasts a king-size bed and its own TV.
The stylish master bathroom includes a bath, a separate shower unit, a washbasin, and a WC. Guests will also find indulgent complimentary toiletries, including Black Pepper & Sandalwood shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Bathrooms are fitted with heated towel rails to keep your towels warm and fluffy throughout your stay.
The decor throughout subtly blends the cottage’s rustic roots with contemporary touches, ensuring a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere.
Outside, guests will find a private patio with plenty of seating, a built-in charcoal BBQ, and a spacious lawn perfect for outdoor games. The highlight, of course, is the private hot tub, a favourite among guests and a serene way to enjoy the stunning natural surroundings. Please note that the hot tub is cleaned, refilled, and freshly prepared after every stay, which may mean it can take up to 12 hours to reach optimal temperature. For safety reasons, it is not suitable for children under 16 or pregnant women.
Guests are encouraged to explore the wider farm, including access to private fishing rights along the River Crai, offering peaceful moments and a chance to reconnect with nature. Up to two small dogs are welcome in this property, making it ideal for those who love to bring along their four-legged companions.
Ash Tree Cottage can also be booked alongside the neighbouring Sycamore Tree Barn (sleeps 11) or with both the barn and Onnen Fawr Farmhouse (sleeps 8) for larger groups of up to 25 guests, ideal for reunions, celebrations, or multi-generational holidays.
