Bieden geen ontbijt. Wel koffie.

Kastruimte ontbrak. Voor mijn smaak en oude botten een nogal hard bed.

The host was attentive, wifi was good. The room was peaceful

It felt cozy and at home. The owners communicated very well. The room is near the market with great food choices

Two months in Europe we stayed in more than 40 properties through Booking, this is the only one where the description was misleading. It is advertised as a 1 bedroom apartment with a kitchenette and under property highlights ‘the entire place is yours’ - it is not. It is a typical Airbnb room in the owners house, it also used for storing gym equipment, the kitchenette is very basic (no bread knife , cutting boards etc, so you can’t even prepare a sandwich) and is in the owners office. There is also no running water in this kitchenette, so you can’t rinse fruit/veggies, wash your hands or do your dishes. Parking is only free overnight and not in the day. Residents can park for free for up to 3 hours during the day with a Blue card, which we did not have (the owner lend us one). Furthermore, access was difficult. Booking mentioned a lock box. We heard nothing from the property and only after enquiring, 1 hour before arrival was send the details and then the code was incorrect and we had to contact the owner again. Although it was a good mattress, the pillows were lumpy, flat and stained. Unfortunately we booked two nights under the impression we could use it as a base in Belgium and prepare simple meals and not worry about parking - definitely our worst experience.
