Perfect house for us, we went to a gig at Scarborough open air theatre which is a 10 min walk away - also v close to the beach and nice cafes/bars

Very spacious, great location, clean and good facilities
Beds were uncomfortable, especially the downstairs one. Communication with the holiday company was terrible - I messaged them a few times and got no reply.

We were 5 couples and this house fitted our needs for a couple of days. There's a key safe box to enter and there are 5 bedrooms: 1 double on the ground floor, 2 doubles and a bunk room on the first floor and a twin room on the 2nd floor. The ground and one of the first floor rooms has a bath and basin in the room (not en suite). There's a combined shower room and toilet on the 1st floor, and a separate toilet (no wash basin) next to it on the 1st floor. The kitchen is well equipped and there's a pleasant living room. There was a basket with tea bags and coffee sachets. Washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs and tea towels were provided. The large fridge freezer is great. There's a small yard outside the kitchen. The beds were clean and comfortable and the towels provided were ok. The house was clean and tidy and suited us for our short stay as we didn't spend much time there. There was good and responsive communication with Roberto by text message.
It was confusing as I booked with booking.com but the house is a Sykes Cottage. This meant I had messages from both but I couldn't communicate successfully with either until I was given a phone number for Roberto who manages the house. What we found difficult about the house was:
- No toilet on the ground floor
- No wash basin in the 1st floor toilet
- Having open baths in 2 of the bedrooms was a bit weird and you couldn't use the attached shower as there is no shower curtain and water goes everywhere
- Pressure on the 1 shower room was high especially in the morning with 10 people wanting showers
- A coffee maker would have been nice. We had to make coffee in a tea pot. There was no tea strainer
- There was no information folder
