Seaside Caracciolo

We were very pleased with the hotel. The host was easily contactable on WhatsApp and we were able to check in a few hours early. The hotel is situated West of the Naples which is easily accessible by foot or transport. It is less than 10 minutes walk from the train station that goes all over the city including the airport and many of the tour pick up spots. We booked the 'Capri' room which overlooks the harbour with views of Vesuvius, the Castle and Capri. One of our tour guides described the area as more residential than touristy if that is your preference. We had multiple people before hand mention how 'unsafe' Naples was however the hotel is only a hundred metres or so from the US Consulate so there are routinely Police and armed patrols so very comfortable to be put in this area late at night. For transparency the Capri room also overlooks a busy road, at no fault of the owner obviously. East of the consulate building the road along the harbour is entirely pediatrianised which may add to this part directly outside being busier. The pedestrianised area stretches all the way to the Spanish quarter and near enough to be ferry port so walking/ cycling or Scootering is pleasant. There are various Scooter and E-bike parking close by to the hotel. The building in manned by a porter during the day and at night the building, apartment and room are accessible via an online portal which is very easy to use.
