Sovereign Beach Hotel - All Inclusive

We stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow which was spacious and clean. However as we were on the ground floor we had no view which was a shame. The bedrooms were air conditioned but the living room was not which meant we did not really use it. The air conditioning controls for the bedrooms were rather complicated and difficult to find the setting we needed. The hotel grounds were beautiful with lots of lovely plants and flowers and the main hotel building was lovely. The beach was convenient (although across a road which could be tricky with younger children) but the sand was very dirty and gritty. We didn't mind the stones and boulders as we wore water shoes but the litter including cigarette butts was unpleasant. There was a lot of smoking around the hotel. We didn't sit around the hotel in the evenings after dinner because the seating area outside was quite cramped and when we tried it we were engulfed in smoke. The pool was lovely. Refreshing but not too cold but at times the music was far too loud to the point where I couldn't even hear what I was trying to listen to through my headphones. The animation team were great though and really friendly. The staff in the dining room and at reception were always lovely but some of the older bar staff were the opposite. Rude and off hand which was a shame. Overall though a great holiday and the kids loved it!

Firstly, we didn't get into Kos till 10 p.m., so we knew we would unlikely get anything to eat. But when we arrived at the hotel the receptionist informed us that they knew we were coming late, so they had prepared some sandwiches for us in case we were hungry!!! This was just the start of the 5-star treatment . Nothing is ever too much for them. The restaurant offers the best food for an all-inclusive hotel I have ever experienced. The restaurant staff (especially Tania) will do anything to ensure you have everything you need. My football-obsessed son played football most days as they have their own football pitch while I got to sit in the shaded breezy snack bar area nearby where I could keep one eye on my son playing, the other on my laptop while eating authentic gyros'. The bar manager, Mel, creates the best cocktails and my partner was definitely in love with their cold draft beer (did I tell you that Mel is a fire juggling entertainer too - I kid you not!). Our room was serviced every day by the wonderful Bona. She also used to pick flowers from the garden and place them on our fresh, white fluffy towels daily. To top it off when we went to the front desk and asked them for a taxi to go back to the airport, the fantastic manager, Vernoica, simply said; Don't worry, I'll take you to the airport in my car!! When we tried to pay for the trip she refused it!! She said it was no problem and was happy to help!! The service in this hotel is unrivalled!!

Made very welcome from day one. Would return again in the future without a doubt.
