Shallcross Hall Cottage - Goyt

Outstanding location. The livingroom made the best of the views. We saw a barnowl one evening! Well tended surroundings and tidy parking lot.

Tired looking en suite with a slight smell of mould (I am allergic to mould so had an allergic reaction when using). The shower cubicle in the en suite was old and tired looking. Same with kitchen upstairs; tired, small and no dishwasher. The kitchen fan could have been cleaner. Dinner plates had hairline cracks (two). The indoor swimming pool walls/door/floor could also have been cleaner. No handrails inside the pool room for people with mobility issues (slippery floor tiles) and the door was too hard to open (even for adults). There was a plastic bottle left in the bunk room and a crisp packet left in the sofa (in the living room). We missed coffee, pepper, salt and loo paper!
